AESTHETICS TREATMENT
Laser Hair Removal or ‘IPL’ (Intense Pulse Light) with radio frequency (Elight) has rapidly become the most effective, well- established method for treating unwanted or excessive hair.
At The Beauty Room Yeovil, we have chosen the industry-leading A-C-E E1000 IPL laser system – the only IPL permanent hair reduction system on the market that works on most hair and skin colours. The built in ICE cold system ensures pain-free, speedy results with little or no regrowth following your course of treatments.
A thin layer of gel is applied to the skin and then the IPL applicator is placed on the skin and a short pulse of light is released, which targets many follicles simultaneously by heating the melanin (the pigment in the hair follicle) and destroying the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding cell, preventing any further hair grown.
The applicator is then moved to the neighbouring area of the skin and the process is repeated until the entire area is covered.
Hair has a three stage lift cycle, starting with the growth stage, and only hairs that are in the growth stage will be destroyed by the IPL.

Results vary depending on the part of the body and the skin and hair colour being treated – that’s why all our clients benefit from an individually tailored treatment programme.

There are a lot of reasons for wanting to remove a tattoo – it no longer holds sentimental value, it is keeping you from getting a job, you made an impulsive decision, etc. No matter what your reason is for wanting to get rid of your tattoo, laser tattoo removal is the most effective way to remove it.
How does tattoo removal work?
Lasers emit a pulse of light energy that passes through the top layers of the skin and is selectively absorbed by the tattoo ink. This energy quickly heats up and breaks down the tattoo ink into tiny fragments, which are then absorbed and cleared away by your immune system. Laser treatments safely and effectively remove the tattoo without damaging the surrounding skin.
The tattoo removal laser used will depend upon the color and location of the tattoo. Different types of lasers are able to target different colors. For example, one laser will be able to target black and green tattoos, while another laser would treat red, yellow and blue tattoos.
Typically, 3-10 tattoo laser removal treatments are required to remove a tattoo. The amount of treatments you need depends on the size of the tattoo, the color, the location, what type of ink was used, your skin color and your skin’s ability to heal. Most doctors recommend having treatments every 4-6 weeks for optimal tattoo removal results.
Lasers are very accurate and can treat small targeted areas so you may remove only a portion of your tattoo, if desired.
Certain colors respond much better to laser treatments than others. Black, red, green and dark blue are the easiest and fastest colors to remove. Alternatively, purple, brown, light orange and light blue can be more difficult to remove and may require more treatment sessions.
The depth of the tattoo and the type of ink used are additional factors that determine how easy or difficult it will be to remove your tattoo. Finally, your skin tone and healing characteristics play a role in your laser tattoo removal results. In general, it is easier to remove tattoos from patients with lighter skin tones.
Older tattoos are easier to remove than new tattoos. The ink in older tattoos is generally easier for the laser energy to break apart than fresh ink.
You should not be left with any scars after your laser tattoo removal treatments. However, scarring is possible with any medical procedure.
To minimize discomfort during laser tattoo removal treatments a topical anesthetic can be used.
Many patients report mild irritation or itching after the removal of tattoo. This can last for 1-3 days following the laser treatment.
Laser tattoo removal recovery is minimal. You might experience some discomfort around the treatment site, but it should not inhibit you from going about your daily activities. If you are in the sun, you need to keep the treatment area covered to prevent sunburn so that the skin can heal properly.
The side effects of tattoo removal by laser are minimal. You might experience some redness, swelling and minor blistering around the treated area. These side effects are temporary and your skin should heal completely within one to two weeks.
How much does laser tattoo removal cost?
The cost of tattoo removal varies from patient to patient and depends on the size, color and location of the tattoo. It is difficult to give a good estimate of the laser tattoo removal price and time because everyone’s tattoo is different.

The cost of tattoo removal varies from patient to patient and depends on the size, colour and location of the tattoo. It is difficult to give a good estimate of the laser tattoo removal price and time because everyone’s tattoo is different.

The use of electrolysis in acne treatments - sebaceous gland ablation
Sebaceous Gland Ablation (SGA) offers a long-term solution to persistent acne. This is an exciting new treatment which is bringing hope to acne sufferers everywhere.
What is acne?
Acne is an unsightly skin condition which causes thickening and inflammation of the skin tissues, along with comedones, milia, pustules and sebaceous cysts. For the vast majority of people, it occurs generally in puberty, and is resolved by adulthood; however, in some cases (20-30%) it can persist into middle age. Often, sufferers are left with permanent scarring even after the condition subsides.
Conventional treatment includes the use of oral antibiotics, topical lotions and medicated washes. Particular medications, such as Roaccutane, often cause unpleasant side-effects which can be distressing for the patient.
In many cases, these yield successful results for the duration of treatment, but patients often suffer relapse upon cessation. As yet, they can only offer a temporary solution to a long-term problem.
What is SGA?
Sebaceous gland ablation is the selective destruction of the hyperactive sebaceous gland by a high frequency current (thermolysis). This treatment instantly eases the sensation of pressure and pain experienced by the patient suffering with severe cystic acne; without the side-effects of scarring. It typically leads to visible improvement and reduction of lesions within two to three days of treatment, as opposed to the several weeks that untreated lesions can take to heal on their own.
Today, SGA is in its infancy in the UK, but is well established in both Australia and the USA as an effective solution for long-term acne management.
How is it carried out?
The procedure for sebaceous gland ablation is relatively straightforward. Clients should be given a full consultation with medical history investigation, and a thorough explanation of the treatment. The skin should be analysed and prepared with the appropriate antibacterial products. In some cases, topical anaesthesia is used. According to the size of the client’s pore or cyst, an appropriate insulated needle should be selected. The intensity of frequency should be determined by the size of each lesion to be treated. The skin should then be gently stretched, and the needle inserted into the centre of the lesional follicular pore. A high frequency current can then be discharged for a fraction of a second (usually 0.25-0.5 seconds, depending on the equipment being used), until the inflammatory content softens and rises to the skin surface.
At this point, an antiseptic swab is often used to wipe away any discharge, before the electrolysist or dermatologist re-enters the pore and gently stretches it, without using any current. This allows any further sebaceous matter to escape. Should it be required, gentle extraction can then be performed, before the qualified professional re-enters the pore one final time, to discharge one to two bursts of high frequency current, thus drying out the sebaceous gland. Finally, an appropriate soothing antiseptic solution should be applied, and the client should be advised of an at-home skin care routine and precautionary measures.
How successful is it?
Overall, the results from this emerging treatment are promising and most clients show a reduction in acne lesions after one - three treatments.
What are the side-effects?
As the treatment is non systemic, it is highly unlikely to cause side-effects. However, due to the nature of the treatment, some transient erythema should be expected. It is also possible that when the inflammatory content is released from lesions, it can spread to surrounding tissues, causing further inflammation. Crucially, the procedure is non-damaging to the skin tissues and as such, scarring and pigment alterations are highly unlikely when performed by a professionally trained dermatologist or electrolysist, assuming appropriate aftercare is pro-actively followed by the client.

AESTHETICS TREATMENT
What is microneedling?
Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) involves using fine needles to create hundreds of tiny, invisible puncture wounds in the top layer of skin.
This minimally invasive treatment is virtually painless and incredibly effective. The micro-injuries you create stimulates the body’s natural wound healing processes, resulting in cell turnover and increased collagen and elastin production, therefore reversing as well as preventing signs of aging.
Microneedling reduces fine and deep wrinkles
The primary appeal of microneedling is its ability to stimulate growth of collagen and elastin, which is the key to new, youthful-looking skin. Some doctors would even go so far as to say that the procedure is the most powerful way to stop aging in its tracks and prevent new fine lines and wrinkles from forming. With its ability to trigger the generation of new skin cells, just a few sessions of microneedling will noticeably reduce fine lines, crow’s feet, and deep wrinkles on the forehead.
Also because there’s minimal downtime it’s recommended as a maintenance for people who are trying to stave off the signs of aging.
Microneedling repairs visible scars
In a 2009 study on the effects of microneedling, nearly 100 percent of acne-scarred participants reported a marked improvement in the visibility of their acne scars.
Microneedling reverses sun damage and pigmentation
Once again, collagen is arguably the most vital way to improve the look of skin, and this goes far beyond reducing wrinkles. By stimulating collagen growth with microneedling, you can also reverse sun damage and discoloration, including the hyperpigmentation that comes with melasma. A 2015 study showed microneedling to be a promising treatment for the blotchy, brownish facial pigmentation that comes with this chronic condition.
Microneedling helps aging skin
On top of microneedling’s ability to smooth and correct damaged skin, it also has the added bonus of tightening loose skin, which makes it great for older men and women. (Remember: The older you are, the less collagen you’re naturally producing.) A 2015 study in the International Journal of Dermatology confirms that microneedling is a new way to achieve “skin rejuvenation, tightening, and scar remodeling,” and that it offers a “simple and effective treatment for photo aged skin” with minimal side effects and downtime. .
Microneedling shrinks pores
It’s a bit counter-intuitive, but microneedling doesn’t actually enlarge pores as you might imagine piercing your skin hundreds of times would. Rather, one major benefit is that it helps pores appear much smaller. Microneedling stimulates collagen in and around your pores, which causes them to plump and appear shrunken, if not closed.
Microneedling makes your products work better
Did you know that only 4 to 8 percent of that expensive serum you’re using on your face actually penetrates your skin? One of microneedling’s additional appeals is that it improves product absorption tremendously. Studies confirm that the treatment can actually help topical medications penetrate skin more efficiently, allowing you to reap the full benefits of any product. This makes total sense considering the fact that microneedling creates thousands of invisible holes in your skin that are ready to absorb products in a way clogged pores can’t. The tiny punctures actually act like little channels, allowing topical products to penetrate better and work more effectively.
Microneedling can be done all over your body
Finally, a major benefit of microneedling is that this treatment isn’t exclusive to the face. It can be done on any area of skin that needs to be repaired—particularly areas that display stretch marks or acne scars, like the legs, chest and back. As few as four to six sessions could make a difference in these problem areas.

It can be done on any area of skin that needs to be repaired—particularly areas that display stretch marks or acne scars, like the legs, chest and back. As few as four to six sessions could make a difference in these problem areas.
AESTHETICS TREATMENT
Both men and women can take advantage of this deep cleansing facial, which incorporates deep cleansing, thorough facial pore extractions (removal of blackheads, whiteheads, etc).
This type of acne creates relatively small black or white bumps on the face. Whiteheads look like they contain a tiny bit of pus, though this is mostly dead skin cells. Although they are still visible, they are called closed comedones because they have a little bit of skin over the top of them. The main difference between a white and a blackhead is that blackheads don’t have this skin closing. This means material in them oxidizes from contact with the air, and turn black or dark brown.
The substance in a comedone, white or black, is really the same, and the two types form in a near identical way. Both are caused when follicles in the skin become blocked, usually by sebum, an oil produced by the sebaceous glands. As follicles get blocked, they widen and collect dead skin cells and a small amount of bacteria. Comedones can be very small, and merely look like a bump, but some get larger and more obvious when the follicle remains blocked. People may have a variety of comedone sizes, especially on their faces and especially if they are teens when sebum production is highest. Many older people also have this problem and if it goes untreated it continues to worsen.
A simple pore cleansing can help to alleviate or lessen this skin problem. As a courtesy, Diane can split the time of your electrolysis treatment between electrolysis and pore cleansing rather than separating it into two separate treatments which would be more economical for you.
Once the skin is cleared, pore cleansing is only necessary 2-4 times a year and that will usually minimize the formation of blackheads, whiteheads, and acne if a home regimen is followed also - (but each individual is different).
Excellent results usually are obtained from removal of comedones, blackheads and extractions of acne.

AESTHETICS TREATMENT
This facial is specifically adapted to remove any milia that there may be on the face - these can be very difficult to remove under normal circumstances.
Milia are very small, white or yellowish bumps most often seen around the cheeks, nose, eyes forehead and chest and are tiny cysts filled with the protein, Keratin. They are often found in groups and are harmless.
There are usually two ways for Milia removal, the most common is extraction where the tip of the Milia is lanced and the contents extracted. The second is using advanced electrolysis to effectively burn the Milia off. Both of these treatments are painless and you will be able to return to normal activities immediately.
Who is prone to Milia?
This condition is really common and can occur at any age including infancy. It affects both men and women of all races and skin types. They are usually found where the skin is very thin, especially around the eyes.
Home Remedies vs. Permanent Treatments
There are a few things you can do to reduce your chances of getting Milia. Firstly use a cleanser and toner with Glycolic or Salicylic acid in to keep the skin exfoliated and prevent keratin from being trapped; this will really help keep the skin regenerating. Avoid moisturisers that contain mineral oils or lanolin and do not attempt to remove Milia at home, they are not spots and squeezing them will cause a lot of damage to the skin.
The quickest way of removing Milia is by extraction, a small lancet or needle is used to create an opening and the Milia can easily be removed with tweezers and a little pressure. Extractions are very quick and painless and following treatment the Milia will not return; please make sure that your practitioner is experienced in this technique.
Electrolysis is also often used to treat Milia; a pen is used to deliver an electric current which painlessly breaks down the Milia allowing the keratin to be reabsorbed into the skin.
Treatments last around 30 minutes.
Immediate Milia Removal Aftercare
Immediately following your treatment, skin may appear a little red and swollen at the treatment site. This is perfectly normal and will subside after a few hours.
Milia removal aftercare:
Apply a cooling gel such as Witch Hazel or Aloe Vera to the area quite liberally, this will keep the area cool and prevent infection.
Avoid direct heat such as hot bath or showers, saunas and exposure to sunlight or sunbeds.
Use a minimum of SPF 25 when in the sun.
Do not apply any other product to the treated area unless specifically advised to do so.
Avoid touching the area unnecessarily.
Gently wash and pat dry the area, do not rub.
What to expect after Milia removal
After advanced epilation treatments a very fine scab will form. Normally if the treatment is successful the blemish will simply come away from the skin. Do not pick or rub the scab but simply let it fall off. A few days afterwards the skin underneath may look a little pink and fresh, please repeat the treatment advice above. Skin will fully heal in 10-14 days.

BEAUTY TREATMENT
Microdermabrasion is actually one of the gentlest, fastest, non-invasive anti-aging treatments around today.
Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical facial resurfacing technique best performed in a series of about 6 to 10 treatments. It mechanically exfoliates the outermost layer of dead skin cells (the stratum corneum) and vacuums them away, leaving your skin feeling softer and smoother — looking younger and more vibrant.
The way it works is that when you remove the stratum corneum the body will quickly replace the lost skin cells with new, healthy ones.

Expert treatment of Red Vein is important to get rid of the unsightly red marks on the skin, and the associated pain and discomfort.
One of the best ways of treating broken capillaries is electrolysis. This method involves the application of electric current on the blemished spot using a tiny needle or probe. The heat transmitted through the current destroys the Red Vein marks on the skin.
There is no pain except for the prick of the needle or probe. No anaesthetic is required for the process. The results are immediately visible. The time taken for the treatment ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour. You may need 1 to 3 treatments for permanent removal of the blemishes.

ThenbspMillion DollarnbspDermaplaning is a 45 minute treatment that gently abrades the upper, dead layers of the skin and remove 'peach fuzz' (the short, soft, nonterminal hair) from your face, in conjunction with Million Dollar professional skin care products.
iCombines a pre-cleanse, deep cleanse, potion, pro-cept, dermaplane, lymphatic ice-globe massage, mask, i-Tx, bespoke serum, and SPF 50
Million dollar Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation cosmetic procedure that gently abrades the top layers of the skin using a surgical blade with our industry leading Million dollar professional skin care products. The procedure aims to increase the absorption of skincare /topical products and diminish fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment stimulates collagen synthesis and creates a healthy glow and a radiant complexion.
Dermaplane aims to make your skins surface smooth, youthful and radiant. It is also used to remove ldquopeach fuzzrdquo the short soft vellus non terminal hair from your face. Dermaplaning removes up to 3 x times more dead skin cells than a microdermabrasion treatment. A hugenbspmisconception with Dermaplaning is the treatment encourages the hair to grow back darker and thicker than before.
We are not changing the structure of the hairnbsptherefore the hair will continue to grow as it was before. Terminal hairs are thick, dense hairs that are often deeply pigmented so they appear much darker thannbspvellusnbsphairs. They also have deepernbspfollicles thannbspvellus hairs so they start growing from further down in the dermis. Women develop excessive body or facial hair due to higher-than-normal levels of androgens, including testosterone. This is common in the over 30's. Hormonal hair would be waxed, plucked or tweezed prior to treatment.

The aim of the Million Dollar micro needling treatment is to traumatise the skin without collateral damage to the epidermis and healthy skin tissue. The recovery is rapid, with very little downtime, pain or discomfort. Microneedling increases the availability of cell nutrients and helps to strengthen the collagen in vessel walls and connective tissue. It increases the density of the epidermis lessening the appearance of broken capillaries.
Million dollar micro needling is used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues.

Microblading, also known by a variety of names such as embroidery, microstroking, feather touch and hair like strokes, is a form of permanent makeup that provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments. Over time the strokes can blur and fade and will need to be refreshed.

A chemical peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.

TCA Peels
A trichloroacetic acid peel, or TCA peel, is a type of cosmetic chemical peel performed to treat a wide range of skin problems, such as visible signs of aging, sun damage, acne scarring, and hyperpigmentation.
What Is A TCA Peel?
The primary ingredient in a TCA chemical peel is trichloroacetic acid, a derivative of vinegar, and it exists in concentrations of 15–70%. These peels can be applied in a variety of strengths (from light to medium) and may be customized by the use of pre-treatment agents prior to treatment as well as the number of layers applied during treatment. TCA peels are applied to remove the uppermost layer of skin (epidermis) from the face, neck, hands, and other parts of the body. TCA peels use chemical exfoliation to remove dead skin cells from the treatment area, reducing the appearance and visibility of acne scars, sun damage, melasma, and hyperpigmentation while exposing a brand-new, unblemished layer of skin underneath.
TCA Peel Benefits
There are multiple TCA peel benefits that can help patients improve the visible appearance of their skin. TCA peels are most commonly used to treat the skin on the face and neck, but they may also be used on the chest, back, arms, and legs, or other areas of the body frequently exposed to sunlight. Depending on the strength of the chemical peel, those containing TCA can help you achieve the following benefits with noticeable improvements to the skin.
Reduced brown spots and age spots
Improved texture of leathery, sun-damaged skin
Reduced appearance of certain types of acne
Fewer fine lines and wrinkles
Improved appearance of skin with melasma
Increased skin elasticity and hydration
How Do TCA Peels Work?
Trichloroacetic breaks down keratin, a protein found naturally in the skin, causing keratin to cease proper function and allowing the skin to lighten and peel away over the course of several days. As patients shed layers of damaged skin, healthier and smoother skin is revealed.
The concentration of TCA used determines the depth of the peel. Lower concentrations offer subtle improvements, while higher concentrations significantly improve overall skin tone and texture. TCA peels with 10–15% concentrations (light) can treat skin issues like hyperpigmentation, while peels with a 20% concentration can treat sun-damaged and aging skin or skin with minor scarring.
How Many TCA Peels Do I Need To See Results?
Improvements to the skin following a TCA peel will be visible after one peel. However, patients with greater degrees of damage, such as those with severe scarring, hyperpigmentation, or sun damage typically require a series of peels in order to obtain clear skin. Following your initial treatment, additional TCA peels may be scheduled for a few weeks or months after the first procedure. The number of peels required depends on multiple factors, such as your skin’s reaction to the procedure as well as the type and severity of damage on your skin.
What To Expect During A TCA Peel
While the TCA peel procedure is generally quite fast, this treatment generally requires more than one appointment. Those who regularly use retinoid creams or medications will be asked to discontinue their use, as they may cause the TCA to penetrate too deeply into the skin. A week before treatment, patients must stop using hair removal products, exfoliants. and skin-lightening medications on and around the intended treatment area.
During a TCA procedure, the peel is applied with a gauze or cotton-tipped applicator to the treatment area. The skin may begin to whiten, causing a slight burning sensation. After approximately 5 minutes, additional layers may be applied in order to increase the depth of the treatment. Once the desired number of layers have been applied, the TCA is removed from the skin and a cool compress is applied for several minutes.
TCA Peels Aftercare
Use only mild skin cleansers and other skin care products and meticulously use broad-spectrum sun protection with a high SPF throughout the recovery period. Avoid picking and peeling the skin, as it may lead to scarring. Until the skin is fully healed, avoid using products containing vitamin C as well as retinoids and other exfoliation products.
TCA Peel Results
After a light TCA peel, your skin appears brighter, firmer, and more even with regard to texture and tone. Hyperpigmentation, fine lines, melasma, and shallow scars are lightened and less visible.
Are TCA Peels Safe?
TCA is suitable for the treatment of many skin conditions across a variety of skin tones and types. Although chemical peels are widely considered safe, peels with medium-high strengths carry higher risks of complications than light-strength peels and they require downtime. Common side effects of TCA peels include swelling, itching, and burning.

Full set of extensions with gel or varnish colour.
A tip is applied to the free edge of your natural nail to add length. Hard gel is then laid over the top of your nail and the tip to secure the extension and add strength.
Gel or nail varnish can be applied over the top of this.
The end result is beautiful nails which should last for 2-3 weeks depending on how well you protect them and look after them.
After that you can opt to have them removed or infilled as they will grow out with the natural nail.
The products we use are top quality products which will not damage your nails in the same way that other products may do - we only file your nail plate to take the shine off it for the product to adhere and we use an acid free primer, so you won't end up with paper thin and damaged nails.
Extensions are great if you are going away on holiday or you have a special event to go to as they are long lasting and hard wearing.
How to look after your extensions:
After 2-3 weeks you will need to get your nails infilled (or rebalanced). You should also be practicing good extension care at home. You do not want to use your nails as a tool, don’t open bottles, screw nails, pick off stickers, or open letters with your perfect, new nails. If you’ve had shorter nails in the past it may be second nature to rip something open with your nails. Don’t test the strength of your extension by attempting to open something, they will break and they will need to be redone.
Stay away from water if you can. When cleaning and doing dishes wear some rubber gloves. Also use gloves when working with any cleaning products. You don’t want chemical to be absorbed by your natural nail or the extension. If the chemical weakens the bond of the extension it will lift and cause problems. Keeping your nails properly nourished with cuticle oil is a good ideal to keeping nails in top form. Cuticle oil can prevent nails from becoming brittle and cracking. Put it on 2-3 times a day.

Around 2 weeks after having your nail extensions applied, you will need to return to come and see us for a ‘maintenance’ appointment or ‘infills’. This will depend on how quickly your nails grow.
The infill process will generally involve filing out the re-growth area flush to the nail so that product can be reapplied, filed, buffed, coated and oiled so that the nails look as good as new once again.

Brow lamination is an eyebrow perming treatment that involves correcting the brow shape by setting the hairs in place using a chemical solution. Brow lamination is a two-step process. Firstly, a cream is applied that breaks down bonds in the eyebrow hairs so they can be manipulated into a new position. This is followed by a second cream that rebuilds these bonds and sets them in their new position. If you have unruly, flat or downward growing hairs, eyebrow lamination can change the direction of growth to create a more uniform look with a higher arch and a more desirable brow shape for up to 6 weeks.

Eyelash & Eyebrow tint is a form of hair dye developed for specific use on the eyelashes. Eyelash tinting produces a similar effect to mascara. It visibly lengthens, darkens and thickens the appearance of eyelashes without smudging, clotting or rubbing off.
Whether you're going on a beach holiday and want to enjoy swimming and water-sports without worrying about panda eyes, or if you're simply curious to see the enhancing effects of darker lashes, then eyelash tinting could be the beauty treatment for you.
Before you attend your eyelash tinting appointment, you must first have a patch test at The Beauty Room Yeovil to test your body's reaction to the dye. A patch test involves applying a small amount of the tint to your inner arm. This way, if you do have an allergic reaction, it should be small, controlled and well away from your vulnerable eye area. The tinting patch test needs to be carried out at least 24 hours before your actual appointment to allow time for any delayed reactions.
At your tinting appointment we will discuss the look you want and what colour dyes would suit your complexion most, whether blue-black, brown-black, or grey.
Although the eyelash tint itself is permanent, the effects will only last as long as the growth cycle of your eyelashes. As each dyed lash reaches the end of its growth cycle it will fall out and cause the darker look of your lashes to gradually fade over time.
Your eyelash tint will last around 4-6 weeks, depending on the growth cycle of your lashes and during this time it should not be necessary to wear mascara.

We will be able to recommend the most suitable shade, while taking your own preferences into account. If you want to achieve as natural a look as possible, you are advised to only ever lighten or darken your eyebrows by one or two shades.
You will need to pop into The Beauty Room Yeovil prior to your appointment in order to have a patch test. This must be at least 24 hours prior to the treatment. This helps to ensure that you will not have an allergic reaction to the tint itself.
After your appointment it is likely that the tint will stain the skin between the brow hairs initially, making them appear darker in the first day or so than they really are. Don't panic if your brows look strange to you at first - the difference is bound to feel a little odd initially but you'll soon get used to it.
Eyebrow tint is described as semi-permanent dye not because the colour fades, but because eyebrow hairs have a very short growth cycle. Eyebrow hairs tend to fall out within 6-8 weeks, taking the tint with them.
Why would I want to tint my eyebrows?
Eyebrow tinting is a great option in the following circumstances:
1. You have radically changed your hair colour
For very dark haired people who dye their hair a much lighter colour, dark eyebrows can be a dead giveaway. In this situation, tinting the eyebrows one or two shades lighter is an easy and effective way to make the change look more natural. Similarly, blondes and redheads who wish to dye their hair dark may also consider tinting their eyebrows to match. However, you should remember that your eyebrows don't necessarily have to match your hair colour precisely. You are generally advised to keep your eyebrows one or two shades lighter or darker than your hair colour.
2. You have noticed grey hairs in your eyebrows
Greying hair is a natural part of getting older. Whereas some people choose to let nature take its course, others prefer to conceal it. Although plucking the odd stray hair from the scalp is fine, plucking hairs from the relatively sparse eyebrow area is likely to produce unsightly bald patches and leave the brow looking misshapen. For this reason, you are advised to avoid the tweezers and opt instead for an eyebrow tint, which simply dyes the grey to match the surrounding hairs.
3. You want thicker looking eyebrows
Pale, translucent hairs can make the eyebrows look thin and straggly. Tinting these hairs could reveal a neat, shapely brow you never even knew was there. Even though the thickness and denseness of your eyebrow hair can of course not be changed in the tinting session alone, the darker colour will make them appear naturally thicker.
4. You want to add definition to your face
It's amazing what a difference a nice pair of shapely eyebrows can make to the structure of the face. Having neat, defined eyebrows frames the eyes, boosts facial symmetry and creates an attractive high-contrast look.

This treatment is for the removal of all pubic hair apart from a small strip at the front. Hot wax or warm wax can be used according to your preference.
Pre Wax tips
Your skin is often more sensitive the time near your your period, and waxing can be more painful than normal. So your appointment shouldn't be any closer than a couple of days before or after your period.
Shower and lightly exfoliate your entire bikini area right before your appointment using warm, not hot water. Make sure you're extra clean.
Don't use any lotions or oils in bikini area.
You need some hair growth for the wax to hold onto, but not too long which can make the waxing hurt more than it needs to.
We are able to trim to the right length at your appointment.
Post Care
Don't wear tight pants or trousers for the next few days.
Keep hands away from touching freshly waxed skin, as this can encourage irritation or small pimples.
Opt for a shower. Don't take a hot bath for the rest of the day.
No tanning beds, saunas or steam rooms for the next two days.
Two full days later, if there isn't any redness use a mild exfoliator. This helps prevent ingrown hair.

Electrolysis is the only legally recognised form of permanent hair removal, setting it apart from temporary methods such as waxing, shaving and threading. Invented as long ago as 1875, the treatment is most often used to remove fine facial hairs, though it can work on any area of the body. A schedule of electrolysis sessions is required to permanently remove hair, making the treatment time-consuming. Electrolysis utilises a fine probe or needle to pierce hair follicles one by one. An electrical current then releases heat and chemical energy to cumulatively damage the cells, with the eventual result that they will be unable to produce hair.
Electrolysis is the only legally recognised form of permanent hair removal, setting it apart from temporary methods such as waxing, shaving and threading. Thread veins are removed using a variety of methods. It is preferable to have a free consultation initially to discuss the best method.
Broken capillaries occur when multiple blood vessels located near the skin surface get enlarged. These capillaries appear as red formations on the skin. They can appear on the nose, chin, cheeks, chest, ankles and thighs.
The widening of the capillaries can weaken the wall of the blood vessels or can disturb the normal blood flow, either of which results in the red formations on the skin. Broken capillaries are common in people with sensitive skin.
What Factors Increase the Risk of Red Vein?
Heredity
Aging
Pregnancy
Too much alcohol intake
Skin trauma caused by injuries or exposure to too much sun and wind
Surgical incisions
Medicines prescribed to enlarge blood vessels
Hot showers, coffee, hot and spicy foods and drinks
Lifestyle behaviours such as being on the feet most of the day
Exposure to pollution and smoking
How to Identify Red Vein Condition?
Broken capillaries or the Red Vein condition manifests itself as thin red or pink lines that turn white under pressure. These threadlike lines can also turn blue or purple in colour. The lines are usually 1 to 3mm wide. Red veins can be itchy and painful.
When they appear on the face, broken capillaries cause redness on the face. Some broken capillaries can develops branch-like protrusions that resemble a spider and are referred to as spider veins or spider Naevi.
How to Treat Broken Capillaries?

Can anyone be treated with IPL?
If you are an adult over the age of 18, the answer is usually a resounding YES! Results vary depending on the part of the body and the skin and hair colour being treated – that’s why at The Beauty Room Yeovil all our clients benefit from an individually tailored treatment programme.

Generally no, people describe the feeling as a ‘zap’ or ‘ping’ like an eleastic band, but due to the cooled head system, there is little or no pain felt.
What happens immediately after my hair removal treatment?
Hair appears to still be growing, but are in fact detached from the follicle, gentle exfoliation removes these, and there is no future hair growth from these follicles* (*apart from clients experiencing hormone conditions)’.
Does IPL Laser Treatment have any after-effects?
The skin may be red immediately after treatment and the hair follicles may be swollen and raised but this usually subsides within a few hours. Adverse reactions are rare but may include temporary lightening or darkening of the skin.
How many treatments are necessary?

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Acne treatment greatly improves your skin appearance, reduces your acne, while at the same time treating the redness and pigmentation of your skin.
IPL technology utilizes light flashes over the treated area, triggering biochemical response that will eventually kill the bacteria within the pores.
IPL is a non-invasive solution on inflammatory acne with less collateral effects than oral medication.
During the IPL Acne treatment, short pulses of intense light are emitted from an applicator onto your skin. The light penetrates through various skin layers and helps killing acne bacteria and reducing the inflammation or sebum excess (skin oil) production that characterizes acne.
It will take a series of treatments in order to kill the bacteria and to achieve optimal results, it may take typically 4-6 sessions with a recess of 4 weeks in between treatments
Immediately following treatment, you may experience some redness, depending on your customized treatment settings. The redness will usually disappear within a few hours. In most cases, makeup may be applied immediately, and daily activities can be resumed the very same day.
Typically it is advised to stay out of direct sun for a few days following the treatment and to apply sun screen.

Redness and visible blood vessels (telangiectasia) can also sometimes be successfully improved with intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment. These treatments may also improve flushing.
IPL machines produce narrow beams of light that are aimed at the visible blood vessels in the skin. The heat from the IPL damages the dilated veins and causes them to shrink so they're no longer visible, with minimal scarring or damage to the surrounding area.
This may well require several treatments.

AESTHETIC TREATMENT
Radio frequency is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment and is used to gently tighten and firm sagging skin. It is like Laser and LED treatments in that it uses energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production but the heat energy is electrical rather than light based. Radiofrequency heats the dermis and tightens the skin without damaging the epidermis (top layer) of the skin.
Radiofrequency is especially suitable for targeting loose skin around the neck and chin and wrinkles or lines that develope between the nose and the mouth, but it can also be used for stretch marks on the tummy and thighs.
Radiofrequency treatment takes anywhere between 20 and 45 minutes and there’s very little downtime - you’re likely to experience a bit of redness for up to 24 hours afterwards.
During the treatment a machine will heat skin to a bearable 38-40 degrees.
Like most things in this life, radiofrequency is not a miraculous cure-all and it takes time to work. All energy based bio-stimulative treatments naturally require a course of several sessions (from six to 12) and will induce benefits gradually over some months. Look at it like joining a skin gym - great results are rarely achieved in a single session.

AESTHETICS TREATMENT
A carbon peel is a revolutionary laser treatment that is completely painless with minimal-to-zero downtime. It is highly beneficial for people with oily skin, blackheads, enlarged pores, dull skin, and acne on the face or body. It is also an excellent way to exfoliate and refresh your skin, providing an instant refreshed appearance and leaving skin feeling softer, smoother and firmer.
A layer of liquid carbon is applied to the skin, where it penetrates deep into the pores. Laser light is highly attracted to the carbon particles. When the laser is passed over the area, it destroys the carbon, taking dead skin cells, contaminants and oil with it.
This treatment provides several benefits.
Cleansing:
Carbon has the ability to absorb oil and contaminants from deep within the pores. When the laser is passed over the treatment area it targets and destroys the carbon particles, taking any absorbed material with it.
Exfoliating:
As the carbon is targeted by the laser, it blasts away dead skin cells, blackheads and effectively exfoliates the skin. The result is softer, radiant skin with reduced pore size and a more even skin tone.
Rejuvenating:
Carbon peels also target the deep layers of the skin to stimulate collagen production, which in turn produces firmer, plumper skin, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and leaves skin feeling tighter and glowing.
Acne and Oil Destroying:
The heat produced by carbon peels has 2 additional benefits. It reduces the P.Acnes bacteria responsible for acne, allowing for better management of pimples and outbreaks, and it also shrinks sebaceous glands (oil producing glands), resulting in less oil production, and therefore reducing congestion building up in the pores. Treatments can be performed on any part of the body, including the back and chest.
As with all skin treatments, carbon peels should be supplemented by a good skin-care routine, and daily use of a high-spectrum sunscreen. Noticeable results can be experienced after a single treatment, but for maximum long-term results we recommend regular treatments.

The ladies are so friendly always have a smile and happy to help. They saved my nails after being in very bad state. Gave me advise and help till they were ok to paint again. The salon dosent have that strong nail varnish smell. So many colours on offer with any designs you fancy. I even treated myself to a lash tint. A one stop pamper with nice atmosphere.
